Training & Consultation
Everything on this site is free to read — and that's the point. But sometimes you want to work through your own situation with someone who's actually done the work. That's what these sessions are for. Whether you're a new operator trying to get started without expensive mistakes, or an existing crew looking to tighten up technique and output, you can sit down one-on-one with Douglas and get straight answers.
Free 1-on-1 Sessions
The introductory sessions are genuinely free — one hour, online, focused on whatever you need. There's one for each major equipment line, so you can talk through the gear and materials you actually run:
- TurfMaker 1-on-1 — General (1 hour · online · free) — Orientation and Q&A for TurfMaker machines: setup, loading, mixing, and getting good output.
- Turf Teq 1-on-1 — General (1 hour · online · free) — Working through soil prep and the Turf Teq power rake: getting the seedbed right before you spray.
- Turf Blaster 1-on-1 — General (1 hour · online · free) — Material questions: rates, mulch selection, and matching the product to the job.
- Staple Wasp 1-on-1 — General (1 hour · online · free) — Blanket and erosion-control installation, and getting the most out of the Staple Wasp.
Going Deeper
When the free session isn't enough and you want real depth, there are advanced options — including hands-on, in-person training:
- Advanced 1-on-1 Training (online · paid) — A deeper, focused session for operators who want to go well beyond the basics: technique, troubleshooting, productivity, and the judgment calls that separate good work from mediocre.
- 1-Day On-Site Hands-On Training (in-person · full day · paid) — The real thing: a full day working with the equipment and materials, in person. Best for new operators who want to start right, or crews leveling up their whole operation.
Advanced and on-site sessions are paid — reach out for current pricing and scheduling.
Who It's For
These sessions are built for two kinds of people: new operators getting started, who want to skip the expensive early mistakes by learning from someone who's already made them, and existing crews looking to tighten up technique, raise output, and solve the problems that come up once you're in the work. The free introductory sessions are a genuine, no-pressure way to start — there's no obligation beyond an hour of straight talk about what you're working on.
